The Synology DiskStation DS1823xs+ 8-Bay NAS Enclosure is powered by a 3.35 GHz AMD Ryzen V1780B 4-Core CPU, an AES-NI hardware encryption engine, and Btrfs file system support. It has 8GB DDR4 ECC RAM. It is designed for small offices and IT enthusiasts. Two built-in M.2 SSD slots and Synology SSD Cache technology allow you to boost system I/O and application performance. This NAS is equipped with five drive bays that are capable of natively supporting 3.5″ SATA hard drives, as well as 2.5″ SATA hard drives and SSDs for data storage. The DiskStation DS1823xs+ easily scales up to 15 drives. The server supports numerous scheduled power on/off cycles and hard drive hibernation to further minimize power consumption and operating expenses.
